During certain cycles and transitions I gravitate towards a very wet medium with vibrant colors I can move around in a delicate (but not small) way With a lot of experimenting I was able to find a series of things that assist me to feel a certain way- or move through something with me, in a sense. I am not meaning to say that I am trying to manipulate myself into feeling a certain way by making some particular art but rather I have found there are a series of more elemental where you have more contact with the material. Similar to when you plant something in the earth. Your hands and the earth, the roots of the plant, the water. Not all Art making feels this way and I think every Artist will benefit from putting this in their life. More contact, a more tactile quality but also when the materials are more free there’s more of a sense of working with the unknown vs trying to control it. There are all kinds of ways to approach this conceptually.
